ABOUT POKEMON GO
Pokémon GO is an augmented reality (AR) mobile game developed by Niantic in collaboration with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. Released in July 2016, it became a global phenomenon by blending real-world exploration with Pokémon-catching gameplay.
Gameplay Mechanics:
Augmented Reality (AR): Uses GPS and AR technology to make Pokémon appear in real-world locations through a smartphone camera.
Catching Pokémon: Players explore real-world locations to find and catch Pokémon using Poké Balls. Some Pokémon are region-specific.
PokéStops & Gyms: Landmarks and important locations act as PokéStops (for collecting items) and Gyms (for battling other players).
Trainer Levels: Players level up by catching Pokémon, spinning PokéStops, and completing challenges.
Raids & Battles: Players team up to battle powerful Pokémon in Raid Battles or challenge each other in Trainer Battles.
Events & Community Days: Niantic hosts in-game events, such as seasonal celebrations, limited-time spawns, and special Pokémon with unique moves.
Tips for Success:
Use Curveball Throws: Spinning the Poké Ball before throwing increases catch chances and rewards XP.
Watch for Weather Boosts: Certain Pokémon appear more frequently and have higher stats during specific weather conditions.
Join a Team: Teams (Instinct, Mystic, Valor) allow you to participate in Gym battles and gain bonuses.
Hatch Eggs Efficiently: Use incubators strategically, prioritizing 10km and 12km eggs for rare Pokémon.
Participate in Community Days: These events offer increased spawn rates for specific Pokémon and exclusive moves.
